About This Quote
This is a truly wonderful story about the power of persistence. A bear has been making a nuisance of himself at the Milk Giver's house. The Milk Giver, who is a wise and powerful animal, has decided that he can no longer tolerate living in such close proximity to such a dangerous animal. He has little choice but to get rid of the bear, and he has chosen to help him do so by sending his most trusted pup to hunt for him.
The pup, however, is very nervous and scared of the task and has asked her own questions about what to do and how to go about it. She is clearly terrified of doing this dangerous and possibly deadly task. But she also makes it clear that she will not give up on her father's request.
She will go into the forest and find the bear on her own or else lose his trust. This represents the power of persistence and shows us that we cannot give up when we set out to do something new or different even if we are scared or don't know how to do it.
